I have loved photography from the age of 10 --I remember the day I purchased my first film camera from the dollar store. It was small, rectangular, hot pink and used 110mm flim. Those were the days. My first trip with that camera was on a weekend getaway with my grandmother to St. Augustine, FL. We stayed in a Bed and Breakfast, shopped, visited Marineland and ate yummy chocolates. I will always remember that trip...and I still have photos from Marineland to prove the camera actually worked ;) At that time, most people didn't even think that camera was real.
Currently, my husband and I reside in Augusta, GA with a sweet and crazy black lab. My husband has been the biggest encourager of my pursuit of photography. He is always getting me to experiment with different techniques and ideas. In 2017 we were busy renovating a house, selling it, moving to a rental, looking for a new home, and raising our baby. We've been married 7 years and busy with our 2-year-old and 3-month old.
I love people, lattes, sunlight, thunderstorms, my awesome babies, and doing things as a family. I have a heart for missions & people. I have two degrees in things I rarely use (at least for now) and a full-time job in ophthalmic photography.
I love finding ordinary things and seeing them creatively transformed through the eye of the camera. Storytelling is a big part of my photography. I love capturing life as it happens.
I took a step back in 2018 and was able to spend more time with family, vacation to Niagra Falls & Pennsylvania, and birth our second baby. On top of all that, our home renovation was completed and we moved in last August. We LOVE our new home and can’t wait to decorate and organize. As great as 2018 was, I’m looking forward to what 2019 holds.
