Erica Maternity // Sea Island

I can't believe these photos were done last December. Time flies...it flies when you're having fun and it flies when you're just plain busy. Since our vacation is coming up, the beach is on my mind. And with the beach on my mind, I'm reminiscing about the day trip Erica and I took to Sea Island for maternity pictures.

It was cold and windy, no summer vibes around. She nearly froze while we shot these images, and we constantly picked stickers out of the dresses (or my camera bag) but held on to the end. Personally, I LOVED the overcast windy look that was present that day. No matter how cold it was, these photos turned out beautiful. And Erica makes such a pretty mom.

Here are a few of my favorites!

Ways to display your images - Memory Box

I love things I can hold. Things that have substance, texture, smell and depth. I'm always looking for things that are fun and creative for our home, but also for clients. One of those things I found last year is a memory box. This is a fun way to display a few images from a special time in your life (like a wedding, vacation, anniversary, 1 year photo session, etc).

I chose a handful of photos from a wedding I shot last Fall to add to this beautiful box.  The images printed were thick and durable. This particular box could hold up to 100 images printed at regular thickness as well. (I'll save thoughts on printing for another time.)

This box was hand stained and engraved for the bride and groom. Boxes can be stained in different shades - to me, the darker stain seemed to match the rich colors of the images printed for the display.

Aside from framing photos, I love this option to display your images. This allows friends and family to see more than one image...and it could be a fun conversation starter as well.

Day Trips and Graduation Photos // Statesboro, GA

Day Trips and Graduation Photos // Statesboro, GA

Day trips are so much fun. It might make for an exhausting weekend, but that's the beauty of it. Though brief, it's ADVENTURE. It's different, exciting, fun, thought-provoking AND it allows you to have much needed time with friends.

Last year I was able to capture Tayler's wedding day on camera. A couple weeks ago, we captured her sister, Kelsey, for a few fun graduation pictures, photos that help capture her memories of this GSU graduation.

Sometimes we plan day trips like this to help us become more creative. This one was a little more planned and scheduled. Next day trip? Not sure where or when it will be, but I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully it's a little more spontaneous and unplanned, just to change it up a bit.

Miranda // Senior Session

Miranda // Senior Session

This 2016 grad was all smiles during her senior session...except that one photo where I told her to keep a straight face. And she did. Then it made her laugh. Here are a handful of photos from our session a couple weeks ago! I love being able to explore and adventure with people, especially when I have my camera in hand. <3
