Lawless Family Session

Lawless Family Session

Two + years ago, Erica and I were busy with her wedding plans, bridal photos and more. Looking back over the past two years, it's crazy to think how we (and things) have changed. Erica's hair & make-up business has grown because of her passion to do what she loves, in a place that promotes growth and encouragement ( Studio 285 ). You can follow her instagram handle to see some of her work: @elawlessat285 . More recently, she and Zac have grown their little family AND built a house to call their own.

For me, I can see how much my own photography has changed and grown. I'm constantly learning what I love in photography (posing, sessions, weddings, etc) and what I want to try (projects, goals, editing, photography techniques, genres). My man and I are expanding our family this year, hoping to sell our house, trying to become debt free and live our dreams. (What are those dreams?...we are still trying to find that out ourselves.)

Being able to grow with friends really is priceless. And for me, watching that growth through my own photography (or attempt at videography ) is even more exciting. One of these days I will post Erica and Zac's engagement and wedding photos. :)

What are your dreams? How have you grown during the past couple of years?

Richmond. These were taken in March during our quick weekend trip for a friend's wedding. We didn't take tons of photos during our time. We kinda just enjoyed being.

Friday was my birthday...we worked a half day, grabbed a quick bite of lunch and hit the road. Saturday morning we explored the pipeline and a couple areas nearby. It was a brisk day...almost too brisk for my Georgia blood. I was not prepared for the cold front that happened that weekend. And let's not forget that being 7 weeks pregnant, I was experiencing a little morning sickness as we walked around town. haha. I survived. Food helped.

Even though it passed way too quickly, we loved our little trip to VA. Thankful we got to see old friends and meet some new ones along the way.

Also, if you're looking for a good coffee shop in Richmond, we highly recommend  Black Hand Coffee Company and Lamplighter Roasting Company. Sorry I don't have photos to share from these places! But when my guy says they are good, then they are good. So trust him, not me. ;)

Loved working with these guys a couple weeks ago. A storm threw our Friday night session off....and we moved it to early the following morning. In spite of the humidity and getting up early for a session, we had a blast walking around.

Rachel is due a few weeks ahead of me...it's going to be fun having little kiddos who can grow up together, even though they will be in different cities. Also, can I say Sadie Claire is going to make a great big sister?!?! She's so excited to meet Evie Cait.

Not much longer and we will be able to put a tiny little face to her name :)
